Edward the Peppermint plant.
I planted him as a seed along with many others. I planted them all in blue solo cups, gave them names, and placed them all , negligently, on my bedroom window seal . I aquired temporary employment which required me to stay away from home for a few weeks.When i had returned all my herbs had sprouted and then died. Except Edward ! There he stood all alone , in the cold, 3 inches tall, in his blue solo cup. He was slightly yellow ,and his dirt was very dry. BUT HE WAS ALIVE.
i stuck a red colored pencil in the dirt as to conduct my own little experiment. Although i know already what the results will be . i gently wrapped Edwards frail stem around the red violator in his home . i apologized or maybe added insult to injury by breathing a warm breath on his leaves,and placed him back on the window seal in such a direction he would have to fight and turn as he grew so he may again face the sun. No mater how you turn him or what you put in his path , he always faces the sun.
How strange that mankind is the most technologically advanced creature on earth ,yet seem to be so miserable because we lack the unconscious impulse to simply face the sun. ...
